I was raised Catholic, my wife is Jewish. This weekend we got a double header: Passover and Easter

Kinja'd!!!

Now I love me some Easter lamb. I do. Salt garlic rosemary olive oil and throw it on the grill. But I gotta say: brisket and matzo ball soup has it beat. So what says ippo? Which holiday has the better food/meat?

So, turkey bacon and gluten free bread crumbs, I could make it work. Kinda.

I’d say brisket and matzo ball soup, probably mostly because I’m Christian and tired of overly salty ham.

Plus I can make a really mean matzo ball soup ( albeit non traditional style).

I wish images had smell because I can tell whatever you have going on there is probably pretty good. I have never participated in passover so I can’t say if it has better food or not but I can say that Greek Easter doesn’t play around. In my family there is only 1 way to cook a Lamb for E aster and that is a nice slow roast on a spit. Plus you get the bonus of new non-greek guests freaking out because they haven’t seen something like that before.

Oh my goodness that looks amazing. I usually just do a butterflied boneless leg over charcoal but that looks incredible

Ihave some idea what the Passover-Easter mega-holiday weekend is like. It’s a Jewish and Catholic family mix here too.

1 8 people at Seder last night with the in-laws. Several chicken dishes were there. Tonight will, of course be the second night of Passover with my wife’s aunt and uncle. Dinner is likely based around salmon. Sunday is Easter at my parents’ house. I’m expecting the better food to be there, though I don’t know the menu.
